Anyone recognise these cyclists?

The victim of this attack is a friend of mine.

It's a long-shot, I know - I don't imagine they are the type of cyclists to join a club - but if people could have a look at the photo, that would be appreciated.

It's funny, we've given up so many civil liberties and are watched by cctv wherever we go, yet whenever something like this happens the quality of the footage is so bad as to make it worthless.

Good news! Someone recognised the photos of one of the offenders, he has been arrested and has admitted it's him. He claims one of his mates was the one who carried out the assault, this mate has been contacted by police and says he will attend the police station today to be arrested and charged.

I havent read it in detail but its good to see the press not identifying them as cyclists but 'youths on bicycles'

I know this is off-topic, but it does annoy me... if a crime is comiited and a bike is involved then the lazy reporting is that "a cyclist" has carried out the offence.

If the offender drives off or runs of you never see that "a motorist" or "a runner" did so.

Should the Great TRain Robbery have been reported as "van drivers rob train"?

Good news that they have been identified and are being dealt with by the Police. Let's just hope that they are dealt with appropriately by the CPS and the courts; but from experience I don't hold out too much hope.

Probably another case of getting a slap on the wrist for all the usual reasons. They had a deprived childhood/were drunk/stoned/they have assured their social workers that they won't do it again/prisons are full........ etc. etc.....

Why don't they start dealing with these incidents properly? It might just convince the scrotes not to re-offend, and serve as a deterrent to others contemplating such behaviour.
