Hmm, thought so, does that mean I cannot buy 34t and 50t chainrings and fit them to my Veloce 39/53t spider? as the BCD is indicated as 110 on the compact and 135 on the standard.

I was considering going compact on the winter bike, by swapping the centaur chainset from my best bike onto the winter bike, and buying a nice carbon crankset for the best bike.

Just looking at best VFM options .

I've been looking at going the other way for flatter terrain/summer months but finding 110/112offset chainrings for 39 and 53 is hard. TA do them and chickencycles may stock them but they seem to differentiate compatibility between aluminium and carbon UT CT cranks.

If you go compact get a 36 / 50t set-up - the 34 is useless on the flat and generally useless unless you climb mountains often or ride fully loaded up hills often!
