I'm not talking about legs here, but the full torso and nethers? I found out a couple of weeks ago that someone very close to me has it done and wondered what people's views were.

We are all friends here and there is the anonymity of a web forum. I'm sure nobody minds what your 'close someone' does.
There have been threads about shaving before but waxing does sound a bit too much to me, but then I'm a complete wuss when it comes to pain. Can't see that anyone would wax if they didn't like the way it felt afterwards. Each to their own.

My back is becoming increasingly hairy as I age and I hate it. Mrs RR doesn't like it either, I know because she volunteered to wax it for me pretty fast when I mentioned it. Unfortunately the cheapo wax strips she bought didn't do a very good job and I need to get it done professionally. I'd like to do my chest and stomach but am afraid that would leave me looking like a scrawny chicken so will stick with just trimming for the moment. As for the legs, I actually wouldn't do them because that's for serious roadies only and I'm not serious. Anyway I quite like my legs the way they are.

Although having said that, had a joint stag and hen weekend a few years back (was a single wigsie) and the girls dressed as boys and the boys dressed as girls for the weekend.

The french knickers I had chosen chaffed too much with a big manly bush so I erm, trimmed, trimmed a bit more, then one of the girls waxed me! then thought f*ck it and did the torso too, well no one likes a hairy cleavage (exluding Mr Stevens obviously).

That was an odd weeekend!

A colleague had his chest waxed a few years back to raise money for Children In Need. The act was performed in the canteen, in full view of the entire workforce. We all cringed as we watched this burly bearded biker crying his eyes out as each strip came off. I mean literally crying for his mummy.

Sod that.

Not for me. I just have the eau nauturel neanderthal look. Never felt the urge to remove body hair from anywhere except my face, and these days I don't even do that.
