Anyone got a Specialized Echelon helmet? Tried one in Evans the other day and seemed to fit quite well I have a fairly large head close to 62cm and long front to back in a lot of helmets this means an XL which makes the helmet look massive. But the Spesh seems ok at a standard large. Any other recommendations gratefully received and considered.

I have one of these. It was the most comfortable one I tried, and (in my own opinion) it looks the part, too. I don't feel like it would come off my head, and it doesn't feel flimsy.

Hope that helps.

I'm on my second after the first did exactly what it was designed to do in a minor head meets Tarmac incident.

The newer fitting system is better, though the straps still come lose too easily for my liking. I'm using a medium, when I would probably have a large in another make. If it fit's well, it doesn't matter what the size is called. If it doesn't fit well, best find one that does.

I got it for £39.99 from Hargrove cycles online. J E James are the same price but have mixed reviews on delivery and customer service. Mc Convey are advertising them at £34.99 but seem to have none in stock in the colour and size I wanted.

McConvey don't have the one I want either.

Might have to resort to Evans tomorrow, thanks Hac.
