I'm hoping to ride out to Bishops Lydeard on Thursday, midday ish, to watch it go through and drool at the bikes.

Wondered if anyone else was planning to see it between Frome and Bideford?

I'd have liked to have seen it out on Exmoor, but sadly don't have the time available.

I'll be at the finish, it's about 500mtrs from my house.

Then I'm riding to watch the start in Hatherleigh on Friday.

I was in (well, above) Bishops Lydeard for last year's stage to see the race on Cothelstone Hill. This year I will be on the other side of Cothelstone Hill since that's the side they will be climbing it from. Generally I'm disappointed with the stage, but I figured that Cothelstone Hill will probably be the best bit to see.

it starts 60 seconds walk from home, and my plan was to try and drive and get ahead a couple of times and see it finish too... but looking at the map sprawled out before me I am not so sure it is feasible.

I'm gutted that work have canceled my day off on Thursday due to staff shortages  I shall have to watch it on ITV4 and gnash my teeth (unless it's pee-ing with rain, then I'll feel less aggrieved!)

I live 4 miles from Frome and was going to watch the start but I now have to be at RNAS Culdrose mid afternoon. Do you think they'll send an helicopter for me?

Plenty happening in Frome on Wednesday night.

I'll be watching outside the pub in one of the villages between Wedmore and Woolavington. For anyone who was on the inaugural Somerset levels ride the tour route covers part of the route we rode. If you remember the sharp left hand bend outside the pub, I'll be stood there. I don't think the council have fixed that pothole either. So we could see some of the peleton being thrown through the window of the pub as they hit the pothole.

well that's me done with work this side of Monday, time to get changed and enjoy the events going on in Frome this evening, then off with a local group for a day riding on Thursday and riding down to Yeovil on Friday to see the end of the next stage...

tough life innit

I managed to see the stage in one of the villages before Bridgwater as I planned. There were a lot more people out watching than I imagined, lots of cyclists and lots of residents too. Photos to follow.
