My handlebar grips are starting to slip round and down the bars,
so as sometimes they are almost coming off.

Obviously I could just glue them but would then maybe have to cut
them off if I wanted to remove them for any reason at a later date.

Any tips on how to keep them in place appreciated:smile:

Btw bike is a claud butler urban.

I've seen hairspray recommended.

This is a potentially dangerous issue. I fell off my 1939 Elswick when pulling on the bars and I pulled the grip off in my hand and:cursing:

I tried the hairspray thing but it didnt work for me. In the end I splashed out on some Ergon grips which have an inbuilt clamp.

Another vote here for hairspray. Remove the grips, clean the bars, make sure they're completely dry, put a light spray on the bars or inside the grips, wham them on and then leave for a while to set.

Thanks.

Just checked my daughters room, big tin of hairspray in there,
so I'll give it a try:smile:

Not using bike again until tomorrow so should have time to dry okay.
