any rides around 30 mile radius of nottingham

hi there new to road cycling and still getting fit but like to join in a few rides just wandering if anybody has got any information on any rides going on in the near future thanks (and be kind with the hills please have not sorted my gearing out yet 39x53 12x23 does that look easy because it's bloody not on hills)

I don't know about rides near Nottingham but those gears are hard, the quick fix would be to fit a larger cassette; my Bianchi has a 53/39 also but a larger 12-25 on the back and if I was struggling on hills I'd go for a 12-27. I'm not sure about a 12-28 but larger than that you'll definitely also need a new rear derailleur. The other alternative is you put smaller chain rings on the front but I think that's more expensive and you lose your top speed downhill.

you can say that again it's been murder do you think 13x27 will low enough or should i opt for 13x30 or is that mtb range

Its hard to say, it dependent on your fitness, etc. but a 13-27 would be a straight swap but you'd need a new dérailleur for a 13-30 which is more cost!
