I'm looking at getting a computer for my bike. I run strava ATM and want to carry on due to friends on there also. I no the garmins sync the rides to strava but can't justify the money for one. Just wondering if any other cycle computer cheaper runs to strava aswel.
Or I buy a quad lock mount for my phone?

I suspect you'd have to have GPS for Strava, but you can look at Bryton computers as they're generally cheaper than Garmin.

TBH though I'd save your pennies until you can get a Garmin and use your phone in the meantime, although I'd never attach my phone to the bike, stick it in your jersey pocket.

FWIW used Garmin Edge 200's usually sell for around the £50 mark.

Cheers I've just seen that yes after a ride you can send the ride to show on strava. I'll be getting one of them as much cheaper than edge 800. All I want is computer not the gps sat nav

I use my iPhone along with a plethora of Bluetooth 4 sensors. Most of the battery on the iPhone is being used up due to the screen being on all the time. To get around that I use the Wahoo RFLKT. On the iPhone I use Cyclemeter which you can share the data with Strava rather than using the Strava app.

Get an additional battery for the iPhone?

BY the time you buy a mount, waterproof case and a spare battery solution, and still haven't resolved the latent fragility in these circumstances... the iPhone is not a good option

The Garmin Edge 200 can be picked up online (or at Halfrauds) for about £80

Which makes it in the same realms as the cost of kitting out the iPhone

It does have GPS but does not have any maps, so can't show your position on a map. You can define courses with waypoints that it will show as a breadcrumb trail for you to follow, shown in the video below:
