Any one see the Cav interview last night ?

i thought he was great, I am new to cycling and have read some interviews and looked into him and the sport a lot more and well i think he is great.

I come for a football backgroud and at 29 still play and love it but the pros are really starting to piss me off.

Its great to see someone like Cav be honest, and 20% of his winning to anit dopeing, cant see any other sports people doing that.

Anyone elses thoughts?

Not sure that's voluntarily

Cav is young and brash and, just like the young and brash do, he opens his gob a bit too much sometimes... but I like him for that. He's got self belief by the score, a hard work ethic and no shortage of genuine talent. Such people often firmly divide their audiences but nobody can knock his results. He's a winner.

Edit: I've just thought, "young and brash", what's Robbie McEwen's excuse then that guy is STILL a gobby little shite!

Yes I know it is not volntry lol, I suppose I was trying to say what the responce would be if a pro football player had to giev up 20% of his wages and what outcry there would be.

i suppose its nice to get into a sport when if you like men are men and just get on with it. I may learn otherwise tho lol.

I like it that he is outspoken tho and if anythings just tells the truth and just seems a very grounded youn man.

Whoosh! Really!! I didn't see the interview but it sounds like Cav is learning how to play the interview game. He's normally good for at least one 'up himself' remark!

I've just watched this interview....and have to say I was really impressed by Cav. The arrogance of last year's rather hilarious interviews has pretty much gone, he came across as awesomely confident but so much more rounded. I thought he was a really nice bloke.

Actually, yes, he is. Not entirely sure why as he's not my type but yep...if i wasn't happily married, he'd get it!!!
