looking for anyone who knows about 70/80s French bicycles, specifically CNC and Motobecane.

Have a supposed CNC special dating 1979 from components and will be looking at a Motobecane soon.

Want to know any potential pitfalls around bottom brackets, threading etc

Picture of the special CNC. No tubing sticker present but has campagnolo rear drops and weighs around 11kg for whole bike so I'm guessing some potential pedigree. Seatpost is 26.4 so could be a 531 plain gauge or equivalent.

Forgive my ignorance but what does CNC stand for? Never seen one before.

Just got a feeling that it's a reasonable quality frame but damned if I can find anything. The previous owner bought a house in southern France and this was in the cellar.

Wheels are not original but the rest of the gear seems to tie in with French.
