Welcome to Bristol !

If you travel up the Gloucester Road A38 north of the M5 you will find some nice villages on your left.

From Alveston, the B4461 Vattingstone Lane and Redhill Lane is a lovely sweeping downhill ride, I managed to drive 40 mph out of my old FCR3 using aero bars.... You can return to Bristol via Avonmouth, or via little lanes to Easter Compton & Cribbs Causeway.

Here's a longer ride and you'll need climbing legs..

Cycle into Bath, then climb up to Lansdown, naturally, what cycles up, must roll down.. This route attempts to extend the descent to the point where it's almost flat, just watch the speed descending from Lansdown, the corners are tight, you will need to use your brakes, but the ride along Beach Lane and Golden Valley Lane will be much more leisurely. Landing on the A431 where you can cycle back to Bitton station and rejoin the cycle path.
