... can you please Him upstairs to do something about this... coz i'm getting a tad fat sitting here eating pizza instead of being out on my bike.

can we swap the freezing temperatures, snow, slush and black ice for... erm... oh i dunno, even rain would be better if he could just turn up the temperature dial?

Cold weather is sent to permit us to buy more cycling kit to wear when we are out on our bikes.

Saturday looks OK for a ride.

I'm having the weekend off then I hope to have an uninterrupted stretch of weekend audaxes through to May. I might even start a 15mile each way commute several times per week in March.

Geeting out in the cold is the biggest battle. Once you've started the ride you'll warm up.

The main problem is looking outside and thinking 'bugger that'...once you are out it is great fun.

Or thinking 'buggi' that!!

Know what you mean, Buggi. I fell off my bike t'other week on ice. Only got some fun bruises, no broken bones, but definitely noticed me (even more) cautious on wet roads and hills since!
