Any bike shop geeks here? 3 x 7 brake/shifters

Anyone got any suitable suggestions for a replacement for these shifters?

They seem not to be muchly available in the UK, and are a broken part on a bike out in Africa.

Get some of the same model, but 8 speed, i assume the pt no is going to be ST-EF50-8R.
I had exactly those shifters on my 7 speed Trek. 8 speed is the same spacing as 7 so you just set em up and dont select the 8th gear...if your RD is set up right anyway, the end stops stop you selecting 8 anyway.
They work perfectly. The 8 speeds are more readily available.

Which one is broken right or left? I bought a brand new left side one for a repair job a couple of months ago on e-bay, the shop had plenty in stock (left only though) cost me about £12 inc postage.
