Ant+ sync to phone without dongle

I have a HTC one, and want to know if it's possible to sync data from my Garmin 910xt without having to use a dongle rather than having to use my laptop to transfer data to Garmin connect.

From what I gather it is possible to download the ant+ plugins to the phone and use a dongle but can't clarify whether it can be done without a usb adaptor.

Anyone have any experience?

The ant website (thisisant) will tell you which phones are compatible out of the box.
