I have 2 bikes.
I have a Topeak Aero-wedge (large) which is quite good.
I have decided to get another bag and just wondered if there are any new/better alternatives out there.
(I know I could just keep changing the bag from bike to bike.........but I dont want to^_^ )

I have a canvas satchel hanging by buckle straps from the bag loop. Others like Caradice.

Unless you say why you like the wedge, I'm not sure we'll be able to help much ;)

How much stuff do you need to carry? I sent my Topeak back because of some dodgy stitching and replaced it with a Carradice mini. My big saddlebag is also a Carradice. I like Carradice.

I will start by saying I do not know how people get all the needed bits (for longer rides) in small bags.
I like the Topeak as it can fit,,,,,,,,,,,,,
spare tube
multi tool & tyre levers
Phone
my specs (glasses) which I need in the event anything needs adjusting/repairing etc.
malt loaf & cereal bar/flap jack.
So I dont want to go smaller and am just wondering if there is anything better/cheaper out there.
BTW..........In my jersey pockets I carry handkerchief (essential  ), jelly babies, map (if needed), base layer (if needed)

I can get everything I need for a 200km audax in a medium sized Topeak Wedge. So there. </smug git mode>

Tbh, if you already know you like the Wedge, I don't think you'll find anything better for less money. It is a really good bit of kit, after all. I had one that lasted something like 10 years use in all conditions and when the zip finally failed, I just replaced it with another exactly the same.

The Axiom Fondo H2O is pretty good, and has a extra external storage for a bottle (can also be used for other stuff, eg a rain jacket). There's also the Ortleib saddle bag, which is a bit more waterproof than the Topeak. Both are a lot more expensive than the Wedge though, and if you want waterproof, the Topeak Drybag is cheaper than the Ortleib.

I actually saw a small saddle bag full of bike tools at my local Lidl a couple of days ago. I think it was £4.99

Last one like that from another supermarket split along a seam and was returned. Anyone tested the lidl one? £10 cheaper isn't worth the hassle of your stuff falling on the floor and returning a bad bag.
