Another Rohloff Question

I've a Rohloff on a bike at the moment with a chain tensioner. I've just got a Van Nicholas Pioneer frame which is designed for the Rohloff for a good price^_^. My question is what do I need to get for the Rohloff to fit the pioneer.

You will not need the need Rohloff chain tensioner, with the Adjustable/eccentric bottom bracket.! which model of rohloff is it, external selector box / disk brakes, or Internal gear selection , with 2 quick release cables. for the latter you will need Canti post cable stop/ cable adjuster and and OEM axele plate. Post some pictures of the original bike for more specific advise. ( see also http://www.rohloff.de/en/servicemenue/speedhub_finder/index.html), select OEM dropout (F)

Does your bike have a small black box? the external gear changer type of rohloff hub or is the gear changer internal and are you hoping to keep the old bike operational just switching the wheel or is this a permanent swap out?
I also think the bottom bracket is rohloff specific as well, but could be wrong on that one. I know it is one our bikes and I was the one that always did the servicing and repairs.

EDIT: my BB did the chain tensioning bit for us, hence not needing the tensioner. What BB has it got?

I have the external gear box. The hub has a disc on it at the moment can I just remove that and use the hub without it. It is in a 700c wheel at the moment so new wheels wouls be needed. After a lot of searching I found this.

"Hehe, well, even if you did find a picture, it would be difficult to see much. And it is hard to find the information on the Rohloff site, but you can find it under Speedbone. You are half-right. A speedbone is not required, however the CC OEM2 axle plate and locating bolt is required.

The locating bolt screws into the top hole on the left dropout, and the slot in the end of the OEM2 axle plate engages with it. All very simple and elegant, like the dropout themselves, which are a work of art."

If by disc you mean disc brakes, then no you don't need those for the rohloff hub.
You will need to ensure you take the black box and all of the cabling and gear changers over (from the handle bars) which means you need to check the pdf's on the gear changers becuase they have to be routed & wrapped correctly and you are going to have to undo them and dismantle them to get them off (I was lucky when I had to do this becuase my gear changer was knackered and had to be replaced, so I could just cut everything off (or drill it out which is what we ended up doing) but it is essential you follow the instructions correctly - wrapping the gear changing wires the wrong way inside the gear changer will cause major issues).

You are going to be need the OEM axle plate and locating bolt and as I asked before have you considered what BB you are using, frames usually don't come with them so you need to consider that as well. my bike as an eccentric BB which has good sides and bad sides, the good side being not having to worry/deal with chain tension much at all, the downside is that when you do it changes your entire riding position which used to drive me mad trying to get everyting exactly back to the way it was..

It's not going to be an easy build in the least. With our bikes the model of rohloff hub is such that all of our spokes are the same, so no drive side spokes - have you dealt with that issue yet?

I have an adjustable BB. The Rohloff already has a disc on it can I just take off the disc and use it. It is going it be a long term project spent all my money on the frame so I need to save my penny's for the rest of it.

understood. I have a number of documents that may help - we downloaded masses from the Rohloff website before we left on our world tour, as a precaution...

Unfortuantly some of the docs - speedhub mounting included is too large to upload, can you pm me an email address and I can send what we have to you, suspect they may be very benefical.
