Hi I do apologise I`ve been firing questions away and didn`t see the beginners bit....doh:ohmy:. My name is Kevin, I`m 32, live in the southwest of England, and am currently my own boss (which wasn`t my decision haha:angry:!!).

I keep myself pretty active, I`ve been cycling mad for 5 or 6 years now, I cycle to work which is only two miles away but I include a circular route which takes it up to 11 miles, and the same on the way home. I do get some mountain biking in (as I`m close to Dartmoor) during the summer, and that normally involves a pint as we`re nowhere near any roads!, I always do a biggish road ride on a Saturday of about 60/70 miles which leaves me thouroughly knackered, and finally I do get to the gym when I can cram it in!!

Anyway, enough ranting, if anybody in the reasonable vicinity of Plymouth fancies joining forces for a cycle ride or two please get in touch it would be great to meet new faces:biggrin:

Welcome - I think you can fire questions wherever you like.

Many of the "regulars" seem to scatter their post fairly randomly across CC. And you do an impressive amount of weekly cycling compared to some (including yours truly )

Hey , don't apologise , welcome.
I remember a time , perhaps less formal , when people were not expected to introduce themselves.
Got any pictures of your bikes that you'd like to share with us?

Hi Speccy1,

Welcome. Nice part of the world you are in. I have spent a couple of great holidays staying with friends down your way (St. Cleer).
I had only recently got into riding a bike last time I was there and had a great time exploring.

Hi Speccy1.
I'm a bit North of you, Bideford , North Devon,
My Son lives in Plymouth, he's at Marjon Uni.
He's off the bike at the moment due to severe Glandular fever
and wont be riding untill about August, so when he starts the new
Uni year in Sept he may be up for meeting up.

Welcome ... there are some nice hills Down to Bideford ... we did the C2C last year, but might contemplate going back with the kids to cycle around the area abit (well the flatter bits for them).

It's not so much that it's expected, it's just a way for people to say hello if they want to. Sometimes people don't want to launch straight in to discussion...

Welcome speccy, even if you are putting a few of us to shame with your regular mileage...B)
