Sunday last I entered a local clubs reliabilty trial of 60 miles. Longest ride during my "comeback" was 50 miles in the autumn.

Still on my 93 MTB as I can't decide which road bike to buy.

Rode first 10 miles alone, then hooked up with a really nice bloke who was quicker than me but didn't know the route (i did) so he rode with me for the next 30 miles at my pace. but then I started to tire and slow so urged him to carry on alone.
Last 20 miles was a struggle, legs very tired, but I finished in 3.55.
But there was only 57 miles on my computer , so I did the extra miles to break 100km for the 1st time.
Asleep by 9pm, Mondays commute was a slow one, but feel fine now.
Suppose its 100miles next?

I did my first 200km ride at the weekend - the Roses to Wrags Audax. I completely hit the wall at 110 miles but recovered with about 5 miles to go and felt fine at the end. Legs have only just stopped aching and I've been falling asleep watching the telly for the last 3 evenings.

A friend of mine says that which doesn't kill you makes you stronger. Let's hope so.
