Week after details of the €1m theft of bikes, components and vehicles from team Lampre, another massive heist has taken place in Italy – this time at saddle specialist Selle San Marco.

According to the Italian firm, €1m (£827,000) of handmade saddles – about 6,000 – were boxed and ready for shipping when they were stolen

I think Santa did it. He is collecting parts for all the christmas bikes.

Got a brand new Merida bike yesterday with a couple of wheelsets thrown in for different riding and conditions, I may contact my supplier to seeis he has any Selle San Marco saddles going

Im thinking its all got something to do with Fernando Alonzo, he keeps talking about starting a cycling team and hangs around with some rather shifty looking Italians in that shiny red fiat of his.
