Well it had to happen I've met an idiot. Just as I was getting ready to pull up at a red light and noticed a Blacked out Range Rover coming along side me, I spotted what was about to happend and did a quick stop as the passenger stuck his hand out of the window and tried to blast a hand held air driven siren in my ear.
I chased him but he jumped the red light, got his registration though

If you have sympathetic local police it's worth reporting it. If I recall correctly our local police were saying at a council meeting recently that if they get a number of complaints about nusence (how do you spell that word?) driving, they have the power to take the car off the road. Or something like that. Maybe.

Well done for quick thinking.

The good thing is the ears are fine, I braked that quickly he overshot me lol. The police round here are pretty good so dare say the driver will be getting a visit soon

Hopefully he will get a visit, I think you will find that will be classed as some sort of assault?

Blacked out front side windows really bug me, the police just do not seem to enforce the law on these, often when you can see through these you can just make out the driver on a handheld phone, or not wearing a seatbelt, I am sure if they stopped every car with illegal windows, they would also find other offences?

If the poilice pay him a visit they may have a look at the windows, if they are too blacked out he will have to unblack them there and then.

Well done for reporting it, we dont have to tolerate this type of abuse.

I hate the blacked out window thing, I've never understood why anyone with half a brain would deliberately obscure their vision to such an extent, especially at night. Same with dangling crap from the rear view mirror, satnav stuck right in the middle of the screen etc. etc. Maybe they just have less than half a brain...

To be fair, stuff like that in cars, along with teddybears on the dashboard etc. etc. are usually excellent indicators of poor drivers so you get an early heads up and be prepared for the unexpected
