Has anyone got or tried one of these?

I am pleased with my Velo Muvi, but wondered how they compare.

I have one.

My one is slightly less good than the MD80, but not enough to worry about. It eats batteries. I tried some cheapies and they lasted about half a mile. I bought some rechargeable 1250mA AAA batteries and they are good, last about one and a half hours. A big adavntage over the MD80 is that you can change batteries on the road, a couple of spare batteries wont weigh you down. The camera is fairly large so is very visible, your decision wether that is an advantage.

All in all I prefer my MD80, but the ActionCam does have some advantages.

I wonder how good the mounting band would be on a regular helmet rather than the skater/bmx style shown?.

The camera rotates through 360 degrees on the base plate attatched to the strap. I have mine laced through the vent slots in the helmet rather than round the helmet.

They sell these at Maplins but I do not think they are waterproof

I have bought many cameras from Dogcamsport, they worked very well, and they have a new item (mini dvr3),it is better from video quality and other points. It is waterproof as well.

I prefer carrying 2x MUVI.I found that camera too bulky and eventually it stopped working. My two MUVI's still work and they are small.

I found that camera too heavy on my helmet as opposed to a MUVI which is hardly noticeable.

I think I may havealso fitted it on my right fork at one time.
