Looks to be around 1990-ish with the unicrown forks. Odd mixture though, lugged 531 and unicrowns. I always primarily associate them with rigid MTB's and steel hybrids.

Nice. The Carrera name tag has oft been applied to some surprisingly nice bikes over the years.

If I'm not mistaken there are two Carrera bike companies, The first are Italian bikes think top end Bianchi, Pinerello, Colnago etc that aren't allowed to be sold in the uk thanks to Halfords, and the other is Halfords own brand, think inexpensive starter bikes, they are chalk and cheese and two different companies
