This is getting quite common now and the more it happens the worse it will get

Too bad all you need to do is take forever to send back the necessary information when they catch you, 'if' they catch you when they request it and the most you'll get is a hour or two in court, a paltry small fine and a few points on your drivers license. (sarcasm) At least its not all bad news - the driver still gets to keep his license and keep his car on the road so he'll still be able to do the school run or the weekly shopping trip for his elderly parents

"A 28-year-old man from Andover was been arrested on suspicion causing serious injury by dangerous driving...."

SO I guess a death caused by dangerous driving wasn't 'seriously injuring' enough to warrant that the culprit be charged for vehicular manslaughter.

The explanation will be at the time of the arrest the cyclist was still alive, or possibly his death had not been officially announced - there can be a delay in that because relatives are informed before the public.

The appropriate charge will be now be causing death by dangerous driving.
