I have a hope 1 up front, but want to augment it with some disco flashing action, and to maybe leave the hope at home during the summer months.

Liking the look of the flea as it's so damn small and bright. Anybody got one, or a better alternative?

They didnt strike me as that bright tbh. I tend to keep using my Exposure Race during the summer as its easy to recharge.

I've got a set of the Flea's. They're pretty damn good as a 'be seen' light. I've even used the front for very short (and slow) unlit sections. They're very bright considering how small they are. They are the only lights I have with me all the time, they're so small you just chuck them in your bag/pocket and the velcro fastening is very sturdy and simple. I tend to take my AyUp's off my bike around May and rely on the Flea's for those summer days that one pint after work turns into 3 or 4. I wouldn't rely on them for extended rides in the dark, but in the summer they're all you'll need.

The only problem I have with mine is the fiddly recharging cable. I have the older battery charged version and sometimes it's difficult to get the contacts lined up so that they'll charge. I've been led to believe the USB version is much better.

I'm thinking of buying a couple to have on all the time on flash. The hope and Fenix torch are ace for winter/dark use, but thinking of something smaller for summer.

Do a video/picture comparison with the Hope! Mind you I saw them in daylight in the shop, so I'm prolly wrong on the brightness

it won't come close to the hope, but I figure the two together will be a good combo of be seen flashiness and straight search light. During the summer month(s) I plan to give the hope a well earned rest.

That will be a fine combo. I have a Knog Toad as my backup flasher for my two Hope 1's.
