annual bike light question

I'm thinking of trying out the 'cateye HL-EL530', but i remember from last year a few people had problems with them stopping on the bike!
Any advice on this or are there any decent alternatives?

I asked the same question on the commuting thread I think - and ended up with an Opticube and Cateye 1350? it's on Wiggle's front page as a set for about £53 at the moment, although I got mine on recommendation (through the thread) from America for half that price...
