I liked the joke on the Eurosport commentary yesterday. They were talking about how the climbs were categorised. David Harmon explained that it used to be based on what gear a car needed to use to get up the climb - 4th category was 4th gear, 3rd cat, 3rd gear and so on.

Carlton Kirby chipped in with "Hors catégorie - so steep that you need to go up it on hors(e)back"! :tongue:

Carlton Kirby's puns are stupendous.

In the first week he took to calling the Croix Saint Robert climb 'Robert's breakfast' on the grounds it sounded like 'Croissant Raobert'. Absolutely appalling but it's still making me chuckle.
