3rd time lucky surely after last years debacle with contador ,

course looks as though it favours him and cavandish by the sound of it ,

riding for luxemboug pro cycling project now with brother frank and Brice Feillu making up the threesome it promises to be a special tour at any rate .

I'm backing the younger Schleck for definite, I would of even if Contador was going to be riding in the tour.

got to be shleck [the younger] this year, hopefully not a walk over, but have to say with a certain person missing and such a good team, a good looking tour route could be won by a long way, fairly early on and nail biting mountain finishes or controvertial [good fun] talking points few and far between. hope i'm proved wrong, just can't see it being close; and whatever your views on last year, it did keep me hooked til the final time trial.

It's hard to see anyone else as a contender at the moment.

Although someone may push on - look at Wiggins 2 years ago.

Hopefully some previously obscure Italian won't appear, and do well enough in the Giro to believe he could win the Tour (I'm looking at you Ricardo Ricco  )

paddy power has schleck at 4\5 with brother frank at 12\1 (thats got to be worth a fiver )

assuming contador isnt riding this year

I wouldn't bet onyone on the tour at 4/5 - cycling is a risky sport to bet on IMHO.

Both Schlecks may have fallen and fractured a collar bone by next July.

No way is Andy odds on to win -Id view that as a crazy bet. Things will be clearer when the tour approaches - but even if Andy Scleck is the favoutite, I don't think he'll be odds on - someone will have improved and be challenging him.

So betting at 4/5 in a 3 week cycle race on a relatively occasional winner in any race now. Don't :stop:

thats why they are saying assuming contador isnt riding i guess ,

those odds are mental like you say 3weeks riding and a long time till it starts .

Has Team Luxembourg not materialised then? Did I read that Andy is with the Leopard team?

Where has he been btw, I've bee watching the Middle East tours on Eurosport (& Tour Down under on Sky) and haven't heard him mentioned yet.

What price Andy now with Alberto back in the frame?

I've gone off the schlecks...great bike riders but definitely the village idiots wherever they come from. Leaving aside Frank's payment of a DR he says didn't use

what I most object to is this comment at around 2 minutes.
