Talk me through what it can do, and how we'll it does it.

Do you need a top of the range Smart Phone, or will any half decent one do?

Is it as good using Google maps as a built in Sat nav?

I did ask @I like Skol earlier but may as well have asked the dog

All sounds like a recipe for disaster to me. Facilitating nobbers to become engrossed in using their phone apps instead of focusing on driving. It WILL result in dead cyclists, that is all I need to know!

I use Android Auto and Google maps works brilliantly as a sat nav

It's also great for using Spotify etc

How is this even legal? I still don't understand why driver operated touchscreens are allowed to react to touches while the vehicle is in motion.

Some Mazdas disable them when you’re driving, there’s no reason they can’t all do that.

Our Toyota did that until the maps were updated now you can use the Sat Nav whilst driving, which when you have a passenger is a good thing

Standard in many cars now, and it lets you use 'some of your favorite apps' - frightening, time for twitter and facebook anyone !
