Andrew talansky quoted on cyclingnews that "lack of ability for world or pro-conti rider to ride domestic races is killing US cycling". I just checked the UCI rules. When the race is for individuals, and only neutral service is allowed, world tour and pro conti riders can ride up to 3 races a year, or at least it reads that way. So it's possible, and has been done in UK - or was the Sky win by Mr K at Lincoln part of an IoM "national" team (really, though IoM was part of GB in UCI terms).
Anyway before making a report, you might think that a journo would check what was possible and ask some questions, and get AT to have a look as well, then ask some questions of US cycling. Then, it's just really just a knock to US cycling and UCI, which is popular and easy. Poor effort, CN.
