hello,

went to lidl shopping got me sum compression pants and a top, plus some running gloves (didnt have any cycling gloves in my size) also got some cycling pants (With padding), chuffed with what i got but am i missing anything? i no i need a hat and helmet. Also have a running waterproof jacket that someone bought me.

Also I've decided to get a hybrid bike for about £500 from Winstanliey bikes so was wondering if anyone could help me lol as I don't have a clue oh I'm 5"9' tall.

You'll want some chain lube at some point.

Mudguards or get a bike with one fitted

Are you commuting on the bike with heavy kit - if so rack & panniers might be helpful

How heavy is the jacket, if for winter, you may need something thicker.

Lights? Shoes too. Cycling shoes have a stiff soles so that your foot isn't always flexing over pedal. Trainers or running shoes are ok for a trip to the shops but for anything other than a few miles it can be hard on the feet.

On the other hand if you just get out on the bike you will pretty soon realise what you require.

i got lights, pump, repair kit anf extra inner tube got a lock too, but on the mtb i use at the mo, i cant fit water cages on or mud gards (no places for the fittings). yea ill need a thicker jacket need shoes too. at the mo using the bike for work and back plus a few 3-4milez bike rides.

And I'm sure the bike shop will help as that's what they do best if there a good one
