Depends if you're after an all year jacket. I have the Night Vision EVO. Lovely and toastie in the winter put suspect it'll be way to warm to use in the height of the british summer!!
As far as I am concerned the night vision evo is the best winter cycling jacket out there. Agree with SquareDaff, it's only for winter weather really. It was minus 2 this morning when I left for work I wore the jacket with just a long sleeve base layer and I was toasty warm. They are also fully waterproof.

I'm on my second altura night vision. The first was balck...good enough jacket until the zips failed after 3 years. Thing is its almos tinvisiable on a grey bleak daytime ride...so i ended up wearing a hi vis vest over the top of it...silly really. So I bought the hi vis version a month or so ago. Much better..from a vis point of view..daytime or night time. The velcro arist strap has already torn off as I tend to try to seal it over my gloves on a cold day.
It is totally waterproof and warm...I have been out in it jus tnow...around freezing...with a merion base layer and a cycle shirt under and i was warm enough.
Their sizing is good for us big chaps as well...I bought the biggest hey had online and had to exchange it for a smaller one!
The rear pocket is useful and the vents are ok.
I do tend to sweat a lot in it if temperatures are relatively mild...which they tend to be when raining...so it's all but useless for a summer rain storm...may was well just get wet.
One thing...on the old jacket I had...after a period of time the inner sealant layer started to break apart and leave white specs all over me...like a serious case of dandruff!..I'm guessing it was caused by the salt in the sweat over time...I remain confused as to how to wash the thing though.
I've seen them in sales recently cheaper than usual...
The balck one is cool if you want to wear it in th epub as well...but I'm happier with th ehi vis...abd I know some on here would argue against my next statement..but I notice a real difference in the drivers when I wear this jacket in th edaytime compared to the black one...the pass wider.
