I have a specialized Enduro which doesnt get too much serious use as I tend to only ride canal type paths and trails.

The original nobbly types need replacing andone got ideas for a good semi off-road tyre that will be easier on tarmac

thanks

I use Specialized Hemisphere Armadillos on my MTB...

Ideal for what you describe. I have also used them on some very rough off road tracks and they have coped fine with that too. Might not be as good as knobblies on thick mud or grass, but I don't plan on becoming a "real" MTB'er.

Schwalbe Land Cruisers seem to offer the best mix of on road ease with a reasonable amount of grip when you do venture into the lighter off-road stuff.

Mrs K has had them fitted for ages, and is very happy with them (except on mud).
