Alternative to Garmin Speed / Cadence sensor?

Garmin Edges, being Ant+ enabled should be compatible with http://www.decathlon.co.uk/ant-speed-rate-sensor-id_8181211.html# or http://www.pedalon.co.uk/acatalog/giant-neos-sensors.html

But nothing is ever that simple with Garmin, well with technology actually. Is anyone out there using anything other than the Garmin GSC 10 speed cadence sensor with their Edge

Wish I could though as they're not cheap to replace and I've mashed 2 already.

That looks nice, but I'm trying to save money. The Motorola one is even more than the Garmin one.

The decathlon version is half price compared to Garmin, might try it they're normally good with returns if things don't work
