Alps photos

Here's some photos of our recent mtb trip to the Alps (with Trail Addiction, who I'd recommend).

There's nothing quite like the alps for amazing but very testing and techy singletrack. I can't wait to go back next year.

In particular note the last two photos which illustrate the impact of kevlar pads on an ageing hope rotor - you should have heard the noise it made when it split!

Yes, that is the trail which is delightfully entitled 'Axe Wound' I believe...

Globalti I didn't ride uphill once. It's all downhill singletrack but believe me it's exhausting! My hamstrings are still like piano wire from all of the balancing! I don't know if you've been to the alps (you probably have) but you take a right battering. Bikes and people were falling apart after a week...

A good set of photos, I think that perhaps I would have used about three brake discs getting down that track!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
