Gone and bust my gear leaver didn't I

Right shifter (SRAM Apex - double tap) had been a bit clunky this week, and then on the way home tonight it's snapped clean off, and is currently in the gutter of a busy main road.

Is it possible to source and fit a replacement gear lever only, or am I going to have to replace the whole brake/gear unit?

Gutted

Contact SRAM or get whoever you bought the bike from to do so, I've heard that they're very good at free replacements if it's under warranty.

I've found SRAM are great for bits. I had a shifter stop working properly & ended up bouncing back and forth with SRAM support eventually finding out which was the right bit to replace. Ordered through my LBS & mended the shifter. It was a part in the ratchet that was the source of the problem & I didn't need to buy a complete new assembly just the bit needed.

Cheers. That sounds like it would be the ideal solution as those shifters really aren't cheap, even at the lower end of the range.
I'll get in contact with them.

Does anyone know if SRAM rival shifters would be compatible with Apex derailleurs?
I can't see any reason why they wouldn't if both 10speed. Only if there was an issue with the rear mech being a long cage.

Yes, anything SRAM item using 'Exact Actuation' technology is compatible. All of the SRAM road line (inc 11sp) is EA & their 10sp MTB gear.

All of my bikes bar my TT bike uses SRAM MTB 10sp rear mechs because the cable routing is much nicer & I'm not too bothered about weight.
