I was hoping to post pictures of my new baby today, but uploading photos to this forum is becoming the devils own work:cursing:

Anyhow I have managed to upload an avatar of me with my VN Mistral taken by my the good lady wife in our back garden.

I went out on a brief ride this afternoon (just as it started raining) and can't beleive how quick I can get going, however I know that maintaining speed is the name of the game but that comes next.

As soon as I work out how to upload a picture without using a picture hosting site I will. I have looked for the gallery feature but cannot locate it, however I have also just upgraded my membership so perhaps it will appear then!!!

I'm off for a slightly longer ride tomorrow morning (unless its raining) and will update accordingly^_^

Hi Paul. Welcome to the forum. Looking forward to seeing the pics.
Just beside the Post Reply button there is an Upload a File button for loading pics.
May be you need a certain no. of posts before you can see it? I'm guessing.

Great bike. Will be interested for your views on it after tomorrows longer ride.

As a newbie to cycling I really can't compare this bike to anything else but for what its worth I can say that I find the ride very comfortable bearing in mind the Bolton must have the worst roads in England:cursing: I can feel the frame flex a little to smooth out the bumps. It's great^_^.

The bike is also very light and responsive. I got a bit out of shape coming into a corner yesterday, but I managed to save a potentially expensive and embarassing crash...just.

I have yet to get the hang of when to change gear, but I suppose that will come in time as will the ability to use the SRAM Double Tap. I keep going up when I want to go down and visa-versa:wacko:

The overall finish of the bike is very impressive and looks quality...the welders who work for VN definitley know what they are doing.

Obviously its each to their own when it comes to choosing a bike that's right for you...I know I made the right choice for me:biggrin:

Does your partner know you're getting your leg over another girl?

I think her reading the Fifty Shades of Grey thing has made her a bit more open minded as she enjoyed watching me from behind with my leg well and truly over!!! (she was running the same course I was riding)...kinky eh:tongue:
