is there much difference in weight and comfort riding,
between an Aliminium frame with carbon front forks and seat post,
compared to a full carbon frame,
Would the full carbon be faster?:wacko:

It's not about the bike!

Look to yourself before looking at the bike when searching for more speed - fitness, style etc. Frame materials will only help if you have maxed in the 'personal development' area.

Things like bike set-up etc make more difference to this. Carbon can be harsh if built for stiffness.

I have two bikes of same make/set-up with materials as you outline. The full carbon is a little lighter and dampens road vibration a little more but I prefer the alu bike when it comes to sheer riding pleasure.
