Does anyone have any info about Alf Engers. ie, is he still alive? I ask because I used to see him racing back in the 70's, he lived locally to me. Seeing the article in last weeks cycling weekly about Alan Shorter, my local bike shop, and the frame Alf used to get the 25 TT record got me wondering.

After drilling all his components full of holes, he decided to lose weight he must the drill himself full of the same, with the disasterous outcome that he could no longer take on fluids whilst racing!!
