Alert opening advert underneath (mobile chrome)

Been having an issue recently of in a list of message alerts the top one when tapped instead of opening the topic opens the advert that is underneath the drop down alert list.

Been having an issue recently of in a list of message alerts the top one when tapped instead of opening the topic opens the advert that is underneath the drop down alert list.

Something similar happens if a picture is scrolled under the menus. The picture opens instead of the clicked item. It might be a z-index problem but I've not looked.

I used to get this, maybe 1-2 years ago. I remember discussing it on here. Then it mysteriously went away.

Now I know where it went.

It might be a z-index problem but I've not looked.

Is that where the adverts are stored?
