Aldi tool kit problem

My old MTB I use occasionally broke the rear hub. Great, I can play with my new tool kit. I needed to remove the freewheel, and the first tool on the contents list is freewheel removal tool. Unfortunately it didn't fit. Thinking I'd got an old rare type of freewheel, I took the tool and wheel into halfords. Turns out the tool supplied is a cassette removal tool, which isn't listed! Might be useful for my road bike one day, but no good now, typical! So anyone else with the kit, its worth checking to see what you have.

They are cheap off ebay and its quite wise to upgrade to the cassette system after a breakage.

I did mention here that it was a cassette freewheel remover.

Considering he'd have to buy a new rear wheel as well (or at least hub and wheel rebuild), that'd be quite expensive just for a broken freewheel!

Found the post now. Looking on the net though, and in Halfords the tool is either a cassette or freewheel remover. Looks like Aldi made a mistake.
I've gone for the easiest option, £15 for a new Raleigh alloy wheel with axle delivered from Rutland cycles. Might be able to stop in the wet now, old wheel was steel rimmed! Would like a new MTB, but it'll have to wait awhile after buying the road bike.
