Aldi Bikemate Computer.

Hi All,
Am I the only one to have a major problem setting up this seemingly simple bike comp. I'm following the instructions to the letter but still no dice. Nothing seems to correspond, can't even set the clock, any ideas??

Just to let you know,I tried to get one working yesterday,no luck,no clock no speed,will get something better I think,any recommendations for a cheap cycle computer.

I got one from Lidl years ago, stopped recording speed over 40mph.
@further depends what your looking for, I got an 8 function one from Halfords about eight years ago, suspect it still works, was about £9 I think.
They have a very basic one at a £6, a 9 function at 18 a few in between, these have no back light, then you start to go up from there.

I repurposed mine to be a cadence monitor on an spin bike, dam thing still refuses to die after a couple of years.

Am just looking for something cheap to record distance, not really fussed about speed. Can you still get those wee clicky trip metres where the wee stud on the spokes turned the wheel on the counter, that would do ;-)

They were none to accurate, the £6 one from halfords should do, should last years.

Mine was okay. Admittedly the instructions were rubbish but I managed it.

The number of times I had to restart the settings drove me up the wall but I did manage to get the Aldi one working. I use it mostly for the speed & time, recording my rides on a Garmin etrex 20.
