Alcyon

This bike isn't far from me and hasn't had any bids yet. I'd never heard of Alcyon before and a quick Google tells me they were a French manufacturer making bikes up to 1957. Could this be that old, and is it worth a punt at that money? [I'm after a fixed that will take proper mudguards for winter commuting, hence my interest].

It was the cranks that caught my eye. Think I might put that colour on all my bikes!!
