Now I rarely give in on the day until it's bedtime, and am pretty much on the go. But boy I was irritable and felt tired :tired:today so about 4pm I took the paper upstairs and said to the boys I was going for a lie down. 21/2 hours later I dragged myself out of deep sleep to get up and cook tea. I feel so much better now, don't know what that was about but obviously needed it. :bravo:

What a lovely picture you have. Actually they were very good, they had both played football this morning so it was playstation time and I didn't hear a peep out of them.

I'm 16, and I did it the other day. Came home from college and sleep solidly for five hours until tea. Was a nice nap though and I was running literally on empty.

Apparently it's been clinically proven that teenagers need a lot more sleep than either adults or babies!

God knows why? Something to do with growing I think!

I had a quick nap about 4.30pm today. There's no shame in it. I wanted to make sure I was awake before I had to drive home. If I sleep for too long during the day though I just wake up feeling groggy and can't shake it for the rest of the day.

I normally feel like napping on Sunday afternoons, but never any other time in the week. I got home from my quck ride today and lay on the floor in the front room, next to the radiator half asleep, till my parents got home then had to quickly go wash my dinner pots:laugh:
My dad naps in the day pretty much everyday, while being paid. Infact, one time he spent longer sleeping then driving. He says he will be driving along, look at the clock and see he has lots of time to get where hes going and pull over for abit for a quick snooze.;)

I have been taking afternoon naps for years, just after lunch most days, they are good for you. I try to avoid napping after tea though, that just screws up my sleep patterns.
