Advice on upgrading Disk brakes

Hi, I want to upgrade my disk brakes on my mountain bike but im not sure which are good or not.

At the moment I've got a pare of Hayes so1e, that came with my bike.

I was thinking of getting the ones that clamp from both sides.

My bike is a GT Aggressor XCR, im prepared to pay quite a lot if its worth it.

Well I have to get a new front one, because the allen key adjuster bit is completely worn.

Also I read that the Hayes so1e ones aren't that great.

Any advice on the disk brakes where both pads are pushed together against the disk.

Hope brakes are very good, the ones with the pads moving both sides are definately better, have a look here.

don't know, it's probably that the V2 hve got some specific feature that you may or may not want. Ask hope. no 'better' in terms of quality.

all hope ones are like that aren't they? i thought it was only crap cable ones that only one pad moves

Shimano SLX are great easy to set up brakes. and did i say cheap?
