DSCN0050.JPG I have been trying to undo this bb with no success working on the non chain side which is the image at the bottom I have been trying to unscrew it clockwise which I think is the right way It moved about a quarter of a turn at first then stuck solid . Could the problem be that the threads are seized . It is a Apollo Outrage MB DSCN0051.JPG

Loch side.
That ring with notches on it is called a lockring and it unscrews anti clock-wise. If it is really stuck, don't hack it. Create a bunch of spacers and stuff so that you can bolt the spanner to the ring using the crank's bolt in the square taper. This way it will not slide off and ruin the ring and tool.

The right hand side unscrews clockwise.

I guess I have to undo the left hand side before I undo the right hand side
