Disc or rim brakes? What's it got at the moment?

I'd get the same wheel that's in the machine now - Boardman dealer? - if you ever sell the bike then non-original or odd f&b wheels will raise questions . . .

Presumably it's because the back one got pringled in some way?
It's often as cheap to buy a pair, plenty of pairs of branded rim brake wheels for under £100
e.g. if 10 speed https://www.merlincycles.com/shimano-wh-r501-clincher-road-wheelset-49086.html
or 11 speed https://www.merlincycles.com/shimano-wh-rs010-clincher-road-wheelset-84403.html

Might want a new cassette and chain while you're at it if worn

Hi folks

I'm in need of a new rear wheel for my Boardman comp can any of you guys recommend one.

Tia

Eldridge.
Is it an MX comp? If it is, don't get a straight replacement Boardman rear wheel. They are beyond rubbish. I have an MX comp, the original wheels were so bad I had to bin them after less than 1000 miles ( it was impossible to keep them trued, and the rear bearings were made of cheese). I replaced the original wheels with these.

It effectively turned the bike into a 29'er, but it works better as a 29'er anyway.

Thanks for the replies. I'll try and explain a little better, it's for a road bike, I've put a new rear wheel on it recently which cost me £100, but the hub has been damaged so looking for some different suggestions from you guys.
It's a brake pad set up, not disc. The entry level road bike, Boardman comp.

Thanks once again Eldridge.

Aha, in which case, these are pretty good for the money. Straight replacements, they are pretty solid, and last well. There are some quirks ( type of spoke nipple and the bladed spokes for example) but they haven't given me any reason to worry about those things on the bikes I've used them on.
