Advice for newbee if poss

Hi all,
I currently have a carrerra subway ltd hibrid for commuting on but I
am getting the road bug and I am looking to purchase a road bike.
I was looking to spend between £500 and maybe £700 can anyone give me any advice as to what is best to go for.

The best thing to do is head down Evans or Halfords, or your local bike shop, and are what you feel comfortable riding.

I love my specialized allez, just got the compact at £575 and I love it! Could do with a service now but after 1500 miles of all weather commuting it's still pretty much all running true, just needs a new chain and a re index really.

And whatever you do keep some cash to replace the tyres straight away!

Go to your LBS or 2. See what they have and go for a few test rides. You will soon find out which bike to go for! Perhaps post back on this thread, after the test rides, with details of what you tested, how much, what spec, etc?

im biased but i'd say boardman road race or team comp lol, lots to choose from with that budget

Cube boardman giant canondale specialized all do Sora or possibly Tiagra gears/shifters.

Read the reviews then go sit on all of them. Best way to buy a bike imo

Whatever you choose at that price point from the list above will be a decent road bike

my mate has a raleigh airlite 400 that i have had a go on and it was really quick has anyone got any comments on this bike ?

105 is good for that price bracket but it's a bit heavy and I don't like the look of the wheels.
