Im having a new mountain bike for xmas . My goal is fittness and enjoyment . Im 30 and haven't road a cycle properly for about 10 years (although I can stil ride no problem) after year's of letting myself go drinking and making myself ill lol im hoping cycling will be my new thing in life. So I just wondered if you have any possitive advice of any form for my new adventure

Take it easy to begin with. Try and make each ride a pleasure, not a duty or some kind of self-imposed torture. The more you enjoy it, the more you will want to do. Start by riding to strange pubs.
Have fun.

Its a marathon not a sprint!! take it easy but cycling is very addictive and you will shed pounds and health with improve. The only downside is the ear ache Cycling brings. (My wife is always bending my ears about the amount of time I am out on the bike!!)

If you can find somebody to buddy up with on you trips out it will make it all the more fun and easier. Stick with it whatever though, you will amaze yourself how fast you can improve over a relatively short time.

Cycle pump, water bottle for longer ridea , few tools, puncture repair kit....

And eva longoria would be a better option.

Not really a longoria fan tbh . Prefer selmas curvs . Wouldnt say no to marion cotilard to ;-)

I like that you can cycle with peps or alone . I like both options.

No, I think Jessica Alba would be better, as she has just that sporty, toned look that would look great on a bicycle (sigh) ^_^.

Just so I (kind of) stay on topic: don't forget a spare tube, so you can swap a punctured tube for the spare when needed.

All my riding involves strange pubs!

I thought I was the only one?

(Not a word to the wife, mind,............she thinks I'm riding super fitness 50 mile training sessions and drinking mineral water!)
