Aberdeen Road Cycing Buddy?

Hey, i'm new to this forum. My name is Ross, I just turned 20 and I do love my share of cycling.

I have just recently started cycling again after taking a break over the winter, partly due to lack of time and the weather lol. I am just starting to get back out on my road bike again. I used to do 15-20 mile rides every second evening after work when it was lighter and would do a big ride every Sunday. I was hoping that there would be another person in the area that would be willing to meet up regularly for a cycle, especially somebody that wasn't too fast since i'm not really that fast myself lol.

I would like to join a club in the future, but for the time being I would much rather just meet up with 1 or 2 people until I build myself back up again.

I live at the top of Westburn Road in Aberdeen, and tend to cycling out towards Peterculter, Westhills, Banchory etc.

Thanks for reading, and if anybody wants to know anything else feel free to ask.

Hi Ross, I'm too far away, but Deeside Thistle are a good club with loads of members of differing abilities:

Ross, Deeside Thistle is recommended.

I've been a member for about a year and have got into the time trialing thing on Tuesday nights during the lighter nights. There are a number of guys there that arrange weekend runs aplenty. There is one this Saturday at 9am staring from Leggart Terrace. It will be a 2-3 hour session and the level of effort will be discussed and agreed before kick off. I intend to turn up! Hopefully see you there. You will then get to know a bunch of like minded people who are looking for training partners.
