Flipping heck, do I have to abandon t'Internet for the entire cycling season to not discover the results of races before watching my recordings of them!

So dan_bo put the result of yesterday's Worlds Women's TT in the title of a post, and today bloody BikeRadar have sent me an email with the Men's TT result in the subject line!

Okay, I could choose to avoid the racing forum here when races are on (though I shouldn't have to if people used the *spoiler* convention) but I need to check my email regularly!

To be fair, I think today's winner was a foregone conclusion.

I admit that when I finished shouting "Aaaaaaargh!" at the PC screen, my calmer utterance was "Well that's a surprise!" ;)

TBH - I'm not quite as upset at this happening for the TTs as I would be for the road races. I think I'd better unsubscribe from BikeRadar!

Hmm, they sent it to me even though I'm not subscribed in the first place!

I know how you feel, I've gone all day trying to avoid all media sources to avoid finding out the outcome of the men's time trial, which was made harder by the news of Contador and wanting to find out what was going on. Anyway I managed it and watched it tonight.

Both Saturday and Sundays road race's will be a bit harder to avoid the results, especially Sundays, as no doubt some one will tell me who won whilst I'm riding the "Season of the Mists". Probably have to listen to the Ipod in the car as well in case someone announces it on the radio whilst I drive to Hebden Bridge and return home.

During Tour de France, I managed to avoid all the results till I watched it, apart for one day at work when I was just about to leave to go home to watch it, when a colleague shouted out "I see Cavendish won another stage today", I was fuming.

Impressive riding all round!

It looked to me as though Mick Rogers might have thrown up on the right shoulder of his skinsuit. Either that or he spilt a drink on it...

I like the course and I hope the road races are ridden hard to make them really selective.
